Levron Williams is a former multi-sport standout from Bosse High School in Evansville, Indiana, who went on to become a star football player at Indiana University.

Bosse High School

Williams was an outstanding athlete at Bosse, excelling in both basketball and football. On the basketball court, he finished his high school career with 1,469 points, placing him among the leading career scorers in Evansville boys basketball history. As a junior, Williams averaged 23.4 points per game.

Williams was also one of Indiana’s top high school football players and was named the 1996 Gatorade Indiana High School Football Player of the Year.

Indiana University

Williams continued his football career at Indiana University, where he became one of the Hoosiers’ top offensive players alongside quarterback Antwaan Randle El.

His best season came in 2001. Williams earned third-team All-America honors and produced one of the most memorable performances in IU football history, rushing for 280 yards and six touchdowns against Wisconsin. His six touchdowns set an Indiana single-game record and tied the Big Ten record at the time.

Williams finished his IU career with 38 total touchdowns and later signed with the San Diego Chargers.

Williams remains notable in Evansville sports history as an athlete who excelled at an elite level in both basketball and football, becoming one of Bosse’s all-time leading basketball scorers before developing into an All-American football player at Indiana University.
