Jim Crews (born February 14, 1954) is a former college basketball player and coach best known in Evansville for his 17 seasons as head coach of the University of Evansville Purple Aces from 1985 to 2002.

Crews played for Bob Knight at Indiana University and was a member of the undefeated 1976 NCAA championship team before spending eight seasons as an IU assistant coach.

At Evansville, Crews compiled a 294–209 record, leading the Aces to four NCAA Tournament appearances and two NIT appearances. His 1988–89 team won 25 games and recorded UE’s first NCAA Division I Tournament victory. He was named conference Coach of the Year four times and coached several notable Aces, including Marty Simmons and Scott Haffner.

Crews later served as head coach at Army and Saint Louis University, where he earned national Coach of the Year honors in 2013. He was inducted into the University of Evansville Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008.
