Suzanne Crouch (born February 27, 1952) is an American politician from Evansville, Indiana, who served as the 52nd Lieutenant Governor of Indiana from 2017 to 2025. A Republican, she previously served as Indiana State Auditor, a member of the Indiana House of Representatives, Vanderburgh County Commissioner and Vanderburgh County Auditor.

Evansville and political career

Crouch was born and raised in Evansville and graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1970. She later earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Purdue University.

Crouch began her elected career in her hometown, serving as Vanderburgh County Auditor from 1994 to 2002 and Vanderburgh County Commissioner from 2002 to 2005. She then represented District 78, covering portions of Vanderburgh and Warrick counties, in the Indiana House of Representatives.

In 2014, Crouch became Indiana State Auditor. She was elected Lieutenant Governor alongside Governor Eric Holcomb in 2016 and served two terms from 2017 until 2025.

Crouch ran for Governor of Indiana in 2024, seeking the Republican nomination before losing the primary to Mike Braun.

Throughout her statewide political career, Crouch maintained strong ties to Evansville and has frequently described the city as her home.
