Darrett Brinker is an Evansville native and former professional golfer. Brinker attended North High School in Evansville, where he competed in golf before continuing his career at Ball State University.

At Ball State, Brinker was a member of the men’s golf team from 1989–1993. As a senior, he earned First-Team All-Mid-American Conference honors and was named the conference’s Sportsman of the Year. He later played professionally, winning 30 mini-tour events and competing in the 1996 U.S. Open.

Brinker was inducted into the Ball State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2004 and is also a member of the Evansville Sports Hall of Fame.
