Rudy Charles, born Daniel Engler in 1977, is an American professional wrestling referee from Evansville, Indiana. He is best known for his work with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) and WWE.

Charles grew up in Evansville and began his wrestling career after meeting former USWA referee Mark Vance at an event at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Coliseum. After training under Vance, he began refereeing in 1996 and also became involved in promoting independent wrestling events in Evansville.

Charles later became a longtime referee for TNA Wrestling before joining WWE, where he works under his real name, Dan Engler.
