Paul’s Tavern was a longtime neighborhood bar and tavern in Evansville, Indiana, remembered particularly by residents who frequented the city’s neighborhood bars during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

Located in the Covert Avenue and Boeke Road area, Paul’s developed a reputation as an old-fashioned neighborhood tavern — the type of local gathering place where regular customers knew one another and generations of Evansville residents stopped for drinks and conversation.

Decades later, former patrons still mention Paul’s when discussing Evansville’s lost bars and nightlife. Local memories frequently describe it as a classic Evansville “dive bar” and neighborhood hangout.
