Gerald Andrew Gettelfinger (born October 20, 1935) is an American Catholic bishop who served as the fourth Bishop of the Diocese of Evansville from 1989 to 2011. He was appointed by Pope John Paul II and was ordained and installed as bishop at St. Benedict Church in Evansville on April 11, 1989.

During his 22 years leading the diocese, Gettelfinger oversaw numerous changes in the Catholic community of southwestern Indiana. In 1999, he designated St. Benedict Church as St. Benedict Cathedral, making it the cathedral of the Diocese of Evansville. He retired in 2011 and remains Bishop Emeritus of Evansville.
