Scott Studwell

John Scott Studwell (born August 27, 1954) is a former American professional football player and longtime NFL executive from Evansville, Indiana. A star at Harrison High School, Studwell became an All-American linebacker at the University of Illinois before spending his entire 14-year NFL playing career with the Minnesota Vikings.

One of the greatest defensive players in Vikings history, Studwell was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and retired as the franchise’s all-time leading tackler. He later spent nearly three decades working in the Vikings’ front office and scouting department.

Harrison High School

Studwell was born and raised in Evansville and attended William Henry Harrison High School, where he established himself as one of the city’s top football players.

Minnesota Vikings
