JaQuan Lyle (born February 24, 1996) is an American basketball player from Evansville, Indiana who played college basketball at Ohio State University and the University of New Mexico before beginning a professional career overseas.

Bosse High School

Lyle began his high school career at Benjamin Bosse High School in Evansville, where he quickly emerged as one of the area’s top basketball prospects.

He earned a starting role as a freshman and helped Bosse reach the 2012 IHSAA Class 3A State Semifinals during his sophomore season. Lyle also played football for the Bulldogs.

After three years at Bosse, Lyle transferred to Huntington Prep in West Virginia, where he averaged 17.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.7 assists during his senior season. He later spent time at IMG Academy in Florida before beginning his college career.

Lyle developed into a nationally ranked recruit and was considered one of the top guards in his class.

Ohio State

Lyle joined Ohio State University in 2015 and immediately became a major contributor for the Buckeyes.

As a freshman, the 6-foot-5 guard averaged 11.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game, starting 31 of 35 games.

New Mexico

After leaving Ohio State, Lyle transferred to the University of New Mexico.

An Achilles injury prevented him from playing during the 2018–19 season, but he returned for his senior season in 2019–20.

Professional Career

Lyle began his professional career in 2020 when he signed with Kolossos Rodou in Greece. He later played for Cañeros del Este in the Dominican Republic.
