Jeff T. Anderson is an Evansville businessman, former college basketball player and community leader. A graduate of Reitz Memorial High School, Anderson was a standout basketball player for the Tigers and earned honorable mention Indiana All-State recognition in both 1989 and 1990. He was later inducted into the Greater Evansville Basketball Hall of Fame.
Basketball Career
Following his career at Memorial, Anderson played college basketball at Kent State University, where he earned a degree in business administration in 1994.
Anderson developed into an outstanding outside shooter at Kent State. In 1993, he received the Ed Steitz Award, a national honor recognizing the top three-point shooter in college basketball based on three-point shooting percentage. Previous and subsequent recipients of the award included some of the country’s most accomplished shooters.
He remained involved with basketball after his playing career and was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022.
Business Career in Evansville
Anderson is President and CEO of Anderson Capital Partners, a family investment and operating company with interests in real estate and a variety of businesses. He joined the family business in 2001 after previously working in the financial industry and earning an MBA from Butler University.
Under Anderson’s leadership, the company’s corporate headquarters moved to Downtown Evansville. Anderson Capital Partners purchased space at 508 Main Street, part of the historic former Hughes Department Store building, in 2021 and moved its employees into the renovated offices the following year. Anderson said the move was intended in part to contribute to the continued resurgence of Downtown Evansville.
Anderson is also a co-founder and advisor of eFund, an Evansville-based private equity fund created to invest in businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the Midwest.
Community Involvement
Anderson has remained active in Evansville education, athletics and philanthropy. He has served as a trustee of Reitz Memorial High School, been involved with the Catholic Education Foundation for the Diocese of Evansville, and served on the University of Evansville Athletic Director’s Council.
In 2025, Anderson was appointed to the University of Evansville Board of Trustees, further extending his involvement with education and athletics in the city.
Anderson and his wife, Nancy, have also supported charitable projects in the Evansville community, including helping sponsor a Habitat for Humanity home in memory of Anderson’s friend and fellow Memorial basketball standout Clint Keown following Keown’s death in 2024.
Through his accomplishments at Memorial, his college basketball career and his later involvement in business, education and philanthropy, Anderson has maintained a strong connection to the Evansville community.
